Naan Konchok Sempa

Naan began his Dharma journey at the age of 15 in the very traditional Theravada forest monastery in Chiang Mai (Thailand). He practiced the meditation of the four mindfulnesses for four years. In 2011, the grandmaster (H. E. Brumha Mangala Vipassanajan Thong) and his master (Phra Ajan Suriyon) gave him permission to teach the meditation of the four mindfulnesses. Until the age of 20, he continued to train in meditation and helped as a translator in his teacher's forest temple. He then took full bhikkhu ordination and taught meditation to the new students at the monastery.
In 2017, Naan became acquainted with the Mahayana sutras (Heart Sutra etc.). This opened up a new perspective on Mahayana and Vajrayana for him, and he met Lama Kunsang.
In 2018, he received the Ngakpa ordination from Lama Kunsang.

When I first read the term «Tsa Lung», I knew this was what I wanted to learn. And so my path led me to Lama Kunsang in Kreuzlingen in 2017.
Tsa Lung is more than a method of the Vajrayana; Tsa Lung is medicine and healing, it is a journey, the path and the goal. It is a practice of self-empowerment that gives us the strength to unveil the veil of ignorance layer by layer and to recognize the wisdom within. Tsa Lung is a key to the door to our inner being, the door home – to where we all want to go. It is a great joy and honor for me to share this precious treasure with other seekers and travellers.
In 2021, I completed my training as a primary school teacher. I currently work mainly in adult education and teach German for speakers of other languages.

As a young adult, I became acquainted with Indian yoga. Through the exercises I learned to mindfully perceive my body as well as the thoughts, sensations and feelings connected with it.
Lama Kunsang has been my teacher since 2013. Inspired and motivated by his authentic teachings, the practice of Tsa Lung opened up to me, which I practice daily with joy – despite my advanced age. Balancing body energies and elements in the practice is something I experience as liberating and enriching. In my experience, Tsa Lung also supports the acceptance of viewing the natural ageing process with more equanimity.
Trained as a psycho-body therapist, it is important to me to guide Tsa Lung in a way that corresponds to the physical abilities of the practitioners, that the focus is repeatedly directed to the feelings that arise, and that the breathing and meditation exercises can be integrated.
I received the authorization to lead Tsa Lung practice groups from Lama Kunsang.

«Only a resting body of water can become clear again», says a Tibetan proverb. «Whoever wants to go beyond themselves must descend into themselves», says another. I can only fully agree with both. Since I became acquainted with meditation in my youth, it has thoroughly changed my life. My very great respect goes especially to the great treasure of Tibetan Buddhism, with its vast wealth of different methods and experience gathered over centuries.

As for formal training in this field, in 2017 I completed a training as a meditation leader at the Rikon monastery. In 2022, this was followed by Tsa Lung teacher training with Lama Kunsang.
